Captured ship: St Aignan (master Philippe Clericeau de la Richardais or La Richardais Clerisseau).
History: a French merchant ship with a letter of marque, bound from Martinique to Nantes, laden with sugar, coffee and cotton; taken in fight on 27 September / 8 October 1744 in the latitude of 46 degrees N, by the privateer Dragon (James Seaborne commanding), and brought into Bristol.
