Captured ship: St Anne Heureuse of Le Croisic (master Jean Joussemet, sometimes written by the court as Joseph Mette), formerly the Emperor otherwise L'Empereur.
History: a French merchant ship bound from Cap François, Saint Domingue to Nantes laden with sugar, coffee and hides; taken on 21 June/2 July 1747 about 180 leagues west of Belle Isle by HMS Lyon (Arthur Scott commanding), and brought into Plymouth.
