Captured ship: Ann and Lucy of Lynn (master John Bloom before the capture, and Louis Laumonet after the capture).
History: an English [American] merchant ship, formerly the Chesterfield, bound from Charleston via the island of Providence to Liverpool, laden with tar, turpentine and rice; taken on 18/29 January 1747 by the French privateer Le Figoly (Antoine Figoly commanding), and retaken on 23 January / 3 February 1747 by the privateer Saltash (George Powell commanding), and brought into Falmouth.
