Description

Captured ship: L'Angelique of Martinique otherwise Angelico (master Jean Devarieux or Des Varieux).

History: a French merchant ship bound from Martinique to Bordeaux, laden with sugar and coffee; taken on 17 September 1746 (NS), 30 leagues off Belle Isle, by HMS Inverness (Julian Legg commanding), and brought into Plymouth.
