Captured ship: L'Amilla (master Jacques Sorillon).
History: a French dogger, bound from La Rochelle via Marennes to the Banks of Newfoundland, laden with salt; taken on 11/22 April 1747 about 250 leagues west of La Rochelle by HMS Salisbury (Hon George Edgcombe commanding), and brought first into Padstow, and then into Plymouth.
