Captured ship: Aurora (master John Davies, and Joseph Donat after the capture).
History: an English merchant ship bound from Montserrat to London, laden with sugar, rum, indigo and cotton; taken on 16/27 April 1745 by the French privateer Prince de Conti (M de la Girardé commanding), and retaken on 29 April by the privateer King William (Thomas Cornish commanding), and brought into Bristol.
