Captured ship: St Antoine of Dieppe (master Clair Adelus).
History: a French ship bound from the Newfoundland fisheries, laden with 16,000 codfish and oil; taken on 27 October 1744 about eight leagues south of the Start by the privateer Dover (James Gravener commanding), and brought into Plymouth.
