Description

Captured ship: St Antoine of Cherbourg otherwise St Anthony (master Joachim Clement).

History: a French merchant ship (90 or 100 tons, 9 men), bound from Quebec to Bordeaux, laden with oil and salmon; taken on 13 December 1744 OS by the privateer Southwell (John Burnell commanding) and brought into Bristol.
