Captured ship: Angelique Madelaine otherwise L'Angelique (master Charles Mery or Meiry).
History: a French coasting vessel (70 tons, 6 men), bound in ballast from Dieppe to Spain; taken on 8 December 1744 by the privateer Dover's Prize (William Owens commanding) and brought into Dover.
