Description

Captured ship: L'Aimable Catherine (master Guillaume or William Talee or Tallee).

History: a French coasting vessel (40 tons, 4 men) bound from Bordeaux to Landernau, laden with wine, rosin, earthenware; taken on 30 July 1744 two leagues SW of Belle Isle by the privateer Industry (John Le Gros commanding) and brought into Jersey.
