Captured ship: Anne Marie otherwise Anna Maria of Nantes (master Pierre Doucet or Doucette).
History: a French merchant ship bound from Leogane, Saint Domingue to Nantes, laden with sugar, indigo, cotton and hides; taken on 26 April/7 May 1748 about three leagues from Morlaix by HMS Ambuscade (Richard Gwynn commanding) and brought into Plymouth.
