Captured ship: St Agatha Galley otherwise La Agata Galera (master Don Juan de Rozas, with Arent Tuyn the Dutch captain and pilot).
History: a Dutch frigate (250 tons) trading as a Spanish register ship [bound from Veracruz to Cadiz, laden with specie (silver), vanilla, cochineal, indigo etc]; taken on [2/13] November 1747 [off Cape St Vncent] by the privateers Prince Frederick, King George, Prince George, Duke and Princess Amelia (the Royal Family privateer squadron), and brought first into Lisbon, and then into London.

Ship's papers; numbered SP 1- SP 166, including bills of lading, charterparties, master's archive (including letters) and mail in transit. A further small set of ship's papers are included with the appeal papers.
[Decision: condemned as prize, appealed and sentence affirmed 5 April 1748]
