Envelope mounted on card divider item 51 with typed caption, 'Early Tender Locomotives', containing four photographic images:
1) Monochrome photograph with typed caption on reverse, 'North Eastern Railway 2-2-2 No 450' [Fletcher 450 Class locomotive as rebuilt in 1886] [image c.1886-1891], 7cm x 10cm.
2) Monochrome photograph with typed caption on reverse, 'North Eastern Railway 2-4-0 No 271' [as rebuilt for a second time in 1879 having previously being rebuilt in 1856 from York and North Midland Railway 2-2-2 locomotive No 36 'Malton'] [image c.1879-1893], 7cm x 10cm.
3) Cutting of monochrome photographic image with printed caption on front, 'Sharp's Standard 'Single' Passenger Engine Cylinders 15 inch by 20 inch Used On Many British Railways For Express Work 1845-1860], by F Moore, 4cm x 6cm.
4) Cutting of monochrome photographic image with printed caption on front, 'Old 'Single' Express Engine North Eastern Railway No 451 Driving Wheels 6 feet 6 inches' [Fletcher 450 Class locomotive] [image c.1861-1891], 4cm x 12cm.
