Draft letter from the Poor Law Board, to W Power, District Auditor, enclosing a letter which they have addressed to W E Goodacre [William E Goodacre], Clerk to the Guardians of the Mansfield Poor Law Union, regarding the appointment of a matron. The Board has no objection to the appointment of Miss Elizabeth Nicholson to the post of matron of the workhouse, at a salary of £25 per annum together with rations.Paper Number: 15625/1856.
