Description

Prisoner name(s): Ann Foubister (or Ann Morrison).

Court and date of trial: Kirkwall [Orkney] 22 August 1838.[court not stated].

Crime: Reset (receiving and keeping stolen goods) of theft of a bible from the cathedral of St Magnus and other items.

Initial sentence: Nine months imprisonment.

Annotated (Outcome): Nil.

Petitioner(s): Mary Foubister, Ann Foubister and Margaret Foubister (prisoner's daughters).

Thomas B Foulis.
