Description

Recommendation for the mitigation of sentence for selected prisoners on board/in: The Penitentiary.

Names and details of prisoners:

Daniel Davy: convicted at Bristol on 19 July 1824; Samuel Dowsett: convicted at Chelmsford on 2 August 1824.

Gaoler's name: Edward Bootle Wilbraham, Chairman of the Committee.

Grounds for clemency (Recommendation Details): Neither reported for misconduct; 'they have always conducted themselves in the most exemplary manner.'

Annotated (Recommendation Details): Free pardon prepared April 1827.
