Description

Prisoner name(s): James Boot

Other papers: Information about forgery gangs given by James Boot under sentence of death in Warwick Gaol to Mr Whateley the Undersheriff of Warwick 4 April 1827.

William Dilke enclosing information given by James Boot as above.

A letter from Freshfield and Son forwarding Boot's information to Messrs Spurrier and Ingleby of Birmingham.

Acknowledgement of above by W Spurrier stating that Boot has been a known dealer in forged bank notes and coins for 20 years; Boot's criminal history.

A letter from Freshfield and Son to Mr Peel dated 9 April 1827.

Note from Mr Peel to Mr Hobhouse 'these seem conclusive against the prisoner Boot'.
