Grounds for clemency (Petition Details): Prosecution witnesses had never seen David Davies before and it was nearly dark at the time; Davies had been at work at Messrs Thomas Langdale and Son's Timber Merchants all day; the Jury were confused about the evidence; the petitioners believe him to be innocent.
