Intelligence relating to an English Jacobite privateer captain of a 26 gun vessel out of St Malo. Having served the Pretender [James Edward Stuart] in 'Swedland', his crew being mainly English (and formerly of HMS August) he cruises between Dublin and the north of Ireland. Holding a Swedish commission,"he is a man of bloody Character and swore he would Smash and utterly cut off all the Presbyterians that should fall into his hands".
