Grounds for clemency (Petition Details): Prisoner has always borne an excellent character; the prisoner has a wife and eight children wholly dependent on him for support; the Judge thought the prisoner should receive a less severe punishment and suggested a petition should be drawn up and that he would report favourably on the case.
