It includes files originating in the Political Intelligence Centre, Middle East, and some files dealing with pre-invasion planning for operations in Sicily and Italy.
A small collection of files which originated in the Political Intelligence Centre Middle East is included. Files listed under the heading 'Italy' (pieces 1801-1918) deal with pre-invasion planning for operations in Sicily and Italy.
All papers marked with security gradings have now been declassified.
