Description

This series contains war diaries and related papers of British Empire forces deployed, for the most part, in the inter-war period in various locations around the world. These include campaigns in Abyssinia (1935 to 1936), Egypt (1935 to 1936), India (1930 to 1937), Palestine (1936-1938) and Shanghai (1927 to 1932). Also included are some papers relating to British peace-keeping activities in Palestine from 1945 until the end of the British Mandate in May 1948.
