Among the records are the files of General Charles Gordon of Khartoum (WO 138/4), Earl Kitchener of Khartoum (WO 138/44), Lawrence Oates (member of Scott expedition to Antarctica, 1912) (WO 138/35), Viscount Montgomery of Alamein (WO 138/73) and Wilfred Owen (poet): WO 138/74
