Description

This series consists of general courts martial entry books and registers from the Judge Advocate General's Office.

For 1666 to 1697 and 1758 to 1760 these volumes comprise entry books giving the proceedings in full. From 1812 to 1829 (when this type of court was replaced by district courts martial) they are registers of general regimental courts martial. Jurisdiction extended only to non-commissioned officers and other ranks.
