These entry books consist of the following: miscellaneous correspondence relating to appointments, salaries, contracts, etc, 1798 to 1858; schedules of contractors and contracts with miscellaneous correspondence, 1809 to 1812; letters to government departments, 1809 to 1856 and 1878 to 1888; letters to commissariat officers stationed abroad, 1798 to 1858; correspondence between the Treasury and commissariat officers employed on special services, 1793 to 1816 and 1856 to 1858; letters from and to various Deputy Commissaries General and foreign letter books of the Commissary in Chief.
