Public relations and food advice (including finance). Section K Periodicals includes the journal Food and Nutrition, which was established in 1944 by Louise Davies, and edited by her until 1950. It was principally written for Domestic Science Teachers and Dietitians who were shown how to create their own visual aids from journal photographs and charts, as there was an acute paper shortage.
The mailing list was predominantly from the UK, with some copies dispatched to overseas suscribers. Ministry of Food Posters and Leaflets were also included in the mailing.
A full set of the 'Food and Nutrition' journals is available from the Science Museum Archives.
