Description

This series contains Entry books of out-letters and, occasionally, of the relative in-letters of various offices and branches of the Ordnance Office, including the Board of Ordnance; the Master General; the Barrack Office, 1804 to 1825; and the Director General of Naval Artillery, 1855 to 1861. The series also includes Letter books of the Commissioners of Military Enquiry, 1805 to 1810.

The out-letters consist mainly of correspondence between the Board, the Master-General and the Lieutenant-General.
