Description

V5957. Contested cause.

Captured ship: Vrouw Elizabeth (master Matthias Probst, supercargo Christoffel Theunissen).

History: bound from Surinam to Amsterdam, laden with coffee, cocoa and cotton; [taken on 29 May 1803 under embargo by the Revenue Cutter Active, and brought into Falmouth).
