Description

Folios 10-12.

To: The General Board of Health.

From: William Ecroyd, Spring Cottage, Burnley [Lancashire].

Letter enquiring whether a petition praying that a Local Board of Health might be established in the township of Little Marsden should be further deferred on account of possible alterations being made to the Public Health Act. Ecroyd calls attention to the want of water and drainage in the town during the summer and the want of paving, lighting and police regulation in the winter.
