Description

Folios 5-8.

To: The General Board of Health.

From: Ballard and Mitchell, Solicitors, Burnley [Lancashire].

Letter enclosing a copy of a letter from William Ecroyd addressed to J E Booth. It is stated that it would appear that Great and Little Marsden are considered separate townships for the purposes of the highways. Opinion is sought on Ecroyd's supposition that Little Marsden would in consequence be 'the loser' if a joint application for a Local Board of Health were to be made. Also enclosed is a draft form of petition for the opinion of the General Board of Health.
