To: Thomas Thornton, Clerk to the Local Board of Health, Bishop Auckland [Durham].
From: The General Board of Health.
Draft letter acknowledging receipt of a letter dated 10 March 1856. It is stated in reply that there is no objection to his suggestion that the boundary for the district of Bishop Auckland should include the whole of those portions of Pollards Lands which are within the boundary of the district and that the boundary should be extended so as to include the said lands. Thornton is asked to provide information as to the number of fields in question and a full description thereof for insertion in the amended Provisional Order.
