To: The General Board of Health.
From: Thomas Thornton, Clerk to the Local Board of Health, Bishop Auckland [Durham].
Letter acknowledging receipt of copies of William Ranger's report on the inquiry as to the alteration and amendment of the Provisional Order applying the Public Health Act 1848 to the district of Bishop Auckland and the notices announcing the publication and deposit of that report. Thornton confirms that the notices were duly affixed yesterday on the doors of the principal churches, chapels, public buildings and places where public notices are usually affixed within the district.
