From: The General Board of Health.
Draft letter acknowledging receipt of a letter dated 13 February 1856. It is stated in reply that the General Board is not aware of any clause in the Public Health Act 1848 which would prevent a Local Board from giving their consent to the laying down of gas pipes by a company.
