To: Thomas Thornton, Clerk to the Local Board of Health, Bishop Auckland [Durham].
From: The General Board of Health.
Draft letter enclosing copies of William Ranger's report on the inquiry as to the alteration and amendment of the Provisional Order applying the Public Health Act 1848 to the district of Bishop Auckland and notices announcing the publication and deposit of that report. Thornton is asked to cause the notices to be affixed forthwith on the doors of the principal churches, chapels, public buildings and places where public notices are usually affixed within the parts of the district to which the report refers.
