From: Thomas Thornton, Clerk to the Local Board of Health, Bishop Auckland [Durham].
Letter acknowledging receipt of copies of the notice of the proposed visit of the Superintending Inspector to the district of Bishop Auckland on 9 January 1856. Thornton confirms that the notices were duly posted yesterday at the places required.
