Folio 161.
To: The General Board of Health.
From: Thomas Thornton, Clerk to the Local Board of Health, Bishop Auckland [Durham].
Letter enclosing plans and sections [not included] relating to the intended works for the supply of water to the district of Bishop Auckland with estimates of cost [folios 164-167]. Thornton explains that the Local Board are very anxious that a Superintending Inspector should visit the district for local inspection as soon as possible so that the sewerage and water supply works may be commenced without any further delay.
