To: Thomas Thornton, Clerk to the Local Board of Health, Bishop Auckland [Durham].
From: The General Board of Health.
Draft letter acknowledging receipt of a letter dated 22 November 1855. Thornton is advised that he should draw up a petition for the correction of the Provisional Order for Bishop Auckland in respect of Pollards Lands and that it should be signed by one tenth of the rated inhabitants of the whole district.
