To: The Local Government Act Office.
From: R H Buse, Clerk to the Local Board of Health, Bideford [Devon].
Letter informing that an application has been made to the Local Board to contribute to the cost of 'a transparent dial to the clock of a new church' with a view to illuminating it at night. Buse seeks clarification of whether or not it is the case that the Board have no authority to comply with the application under Section 143 of the Towns Improvement Clauses Act 1847.
