Folios 685-687.
To: The Local Government Act Office.
From: R H Buse, Clerk to the Local Board of Health, Bideford [Devon].
Letter informing that the Local Board is about to enter into a contract with the Bideford Gas Company for the lighting of public lamps for three years. Buse explains, however, that the Gas Company has stated that they do not require, nor will they pay, the cost of a regular written contract. Buse seeks the opinion of the Local Government Act Office on the matter.
