To: The Local Government Act Office.
From: R H Buse, Clerk to the Local Board of Health, Bideford [Devon].
Letter enquiring whether the Local Board can 'prevent or remove low and other windows projecting over the footway at a height of eight foot therefrom'. Buse further enquires whether a person 'removing a portion of his house for the purpose of enlarging or otherwise altering the same or improving his shop front and windows' is obliged to submit the plan of such alterations to the Local Board for their approval.
