Enclosing copy of a letter (dated 19 May) concerning the placing of an embargo on the 'Seahorse' mechantman at Deptford Ship Yard. Seized by the Harbour Master as 'Suspected to be on some ill design' (bound for the West Indies), this Leghorn and Turkey trader was found to be overwhelmingly officered by Frenchmen. (Includes a listing of the ship's company).
