Enclosing copy of a narrative (letter) from Lieutenant Rowley at Harve de Grace concerning the freighting of a vessel at that port with arms and ammunition, suspected of being for the Pretender's [James Edward Stuart] service. Relates to the 'Little Vendome' belonging to one Monsieur Tankrel a known partisan of the Pretender, and the demands for it to be stopped and searched by the Marquis de Rouveroy commanding officer of Marines.
