Circumstances of the sinking of the Argentinian warship 'General Belgrano' on 2 May 1982: general correspondence including correspondence with Denzil Davies (Opposition Defence Spokesman) and leaking of documents to Tam Dalyell MP; publication in New Statesmen magazine and prosecution of Ministry of Defence officer Clive Ponting under the Official Secrets Act (acquitted in 1985)
