Description

Court books and rolls, surveys, rentals, deeds, presentments at, and minutes of, manorial courts, and various deeds and other legal documents including leases, admissions, bargain and sales, and letters of attorney. The records relate mainly to eight manors in Wiltshire, Westmorland, Surrey and Essex. The series also contains some compensation agreements between the War Office and manorial tenants in Claygate, Surrey, and an account book of Corringham rectory in Essex.
