Mostly the Queen's Proctor's case papers when acting for the Crown relating to prize and prize bounty cases arising from the First and Second World Wars and covering the periods 1914 to 1928 and 1939 to 1960.
The papers include affidavits, briefs, ships' papers, and correspondence. There is a set of indexed registers to the numbered files of prize business covering the years 1900 to 1933 and 1939 to 1952.
The series also includes; writs and summons giving details of seizures in mails, (TS 13/2418-3027, 3341-3445), subject files, (TS 13/3497-3909), Colonial and Indian prize court correspondence, (TS 13/3910-3943), claims in respect of goods seized as bounty of the Crown, (TS 13/3945-3984) and registers of correspondence giving brief details of the business concerned and of its disposal, (TS 13/3997 (part) - 4000). There is also a separate series of Crown affidavits (TS 13/811-850, 852-857) together with correspondence; cargo statements, appendices to Crown affidavits largely comprising copies of intercepted telegram and radio messages containing cargo information; an index of traders and ships referred to in Crown affidavits; a report of HM Procurator General on the prize work of his department, 1914 to 1918 and a report on the work of the Marshal of the Prize Court, 1914 to 1924.
