Description

Envelope, typed 'Views of Double-Headed Trains', containing five postcards and three undated cuttings [probably from 'The Railway Magazine']:

1) Cutting, mounted, monochrome photographic illustration 'Midland Railway, Express train entering Matlock Bath Station, Pilot Engine rebuilt 4-4-0 No. 404, train engine Belpaire 4-4-0 No. 706', photographer Raymond Walker, [image c. 1920].

2) Cutting, mounted, monochrome photographic illustration 'Midland Railway, A 'Piloted' Express Train, 12.15 St Pancras [to] Manchester Train at Wellingborough', photographer A E Kitchen, showing unidentified 4-2-2 and 4-4-0 locomotives, [image c. 1910].

3) Cutting, mounted, monochrome photographic illustration 'The Devonian, LMSR [London Midland and Scottish Railway], Kirtley 2-4-0 Locomotive [No. 19] Piloting Standard 4-4-0 Compound', [image c. 1925].
