Folios 346-348. Letter from Thomas Day, Clerk to the Guardians of the Bromsgrove Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Commission. He encloses a copy of the medical officer's report on the state of health of the inmates of the workhouse.
Enclosed report from T S Fletcher [Thomas Swindell Fletcher]. Two new cases of diarrhea [diarrhoea] have occurred in the last week; one has died and one he hopes will recover. Hodgkiss's child has died, and the infant of the late Sarah Waldron declined and died after its mother's death. The rooms have been lime washed, and the tanks cleaned and had quick lime put in them. He hopes they will continue the meat diet and reduce admissions to the workhouse.
