Draft letter from the Poor Law Commission, to Thomas Day, Clerk to the Guardians of the Bromsgrove Poor Law Union about a female domestic servant who is held in custody for concealing the birth of her illegitimate child. They say that the Redditch overseers do not have powers to prosecute her or to meet the costs from the poor rate.
