Description

Folio 324. Letter from A A of Birmingham [Alfred Austin, Assistant Poor Law Commissioner] to the Poor Law Commission, about the Bromsgrove Poor Law Union. He finds that on 20 May 1844 the visiting committee told the master not to allow the pauper, employed as porter under the bye-law, to carry out errands on behalf of any of the guardians. This seems to have put an end to the matter, but the proposed letter should be sent.
