Folios 296-298. Letter from Thomas Day, Clerk to the Guardians of the Bromsgrove Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Commission. At a meeting on 1 April 1844, the guardians resolved to donate three guineas annually to both the Worcester Infirmary and the Birmingham General Hospital. He asks whether the payments should be charged to the establishment account, or to the parishes whose sick poor are relieved by the hospitals.
Annotated by A A [Alfred Austin, Assistant Poor Law Commissioner]: he thinks the proposition is one deserving of the Commission's approval. The establishment account should be charged.
